About True Blood Lexicon

While I am a recent True Blood/Sookie Stackhouse/Southern Vampire Series convert, I have been a fan of vampire literature and movies since I was very young.  One of my favorite books ever is still Anne Rice’s Interview with a Vampire.  The first time I read it, I was 15, and I loved the humanity portrayed in an “inhumane” creature.  The conflict between survival and the need to be morally good is intriguing.  I have periodically read vampire literature since then and am a huge Twilight fan.  One of my fellow Twilight buddies suggested the Southern Vampire Series to me this past summer, and I was instantly hooked.  I read all nine of the books in a couple of weeks, rented the first season on DVD, and added HBO to my cable lineup so I could watch season 2.  I have been a constant fan of the Twilight Lexicon blog, so I started looking for similar blogs to follow for the True Blood show and the Southern Vampire Series books, but everything seems to focus only on the show.  So, I decided to start my own True Blood Lexicon.  I have grand plans for this site, and hope to make it a great resource for anyone interested in the books and the show.

I will be updating summaries and character bios for the books as I read them the second time around.  Please be patient with my site updates and check back often for updated news.  If you have any comments or suggestions, respond on the blog or email me at angela@truebloodlexicon.com.
